Background and Fingerprinting
GMCS conducts background checks on all prospective district employees (applicants who are offered employment) and volunteers who might have unsupervised access to students.
The fingerprinting process will begin with the Personnel Department
State Statute: 22-10A-5
To complete your pre-employment background check, you’ll need to get fingerprinted at Student Support Center-640 S. Boardman Drive. To be fingerprinted, bring a valid photo ID and $44.00. The $44.00 must be made payable to 3M Cogent by credit Card if paying with a money order make it payable Gallup McKinley County Schools.
