- The Standard LifeGMCS Employees: It’s That Time of Year! The start of the NMPSIA 2025 Open/Switch Enrollment! Now is the time to review your current benefits and prepare to make changes, if needed. This year’s enrollment period runs from October 1, 2024 through November 1, 2024 and any changes are effective on January 1, 2025.Please note no action is required if you do not wish to make any changes. Current coverage will automatically renew for the following year. During Open/Switch Enrollment, as an eligible employee you have the opportunity to:
- Change or add a medical, dental or vision planEnroll for coverage, if you do not have coverageAdd eligible family membersMedical Plans: Available plans through NMPSIA are Blue Cross Blue Shield and Presbyterian.Dental Plans: Available plans through NMPSIA are Delta Dental and United Concordia and Blue Cross Blue Shield.Vision Plan: Vision coverage is offered through Davis Vision. Once enrolled there is a two-year minimum enrollment requirement for Davis Vision. Cancellation of vision coverage is allowed only when all family members have been enrolled for 2 or more years.
New dependents (spouses and children) are welcome! Official supporting documentation (marriage certificate, birth certificate or legal documentation) is required in order to add dependents. Premiums will change in the December 2024 payroll checks and new or changed benefit options becoming effective January 1, 2025. Please refer to the attached premium rate sheet. Attached is the flyer with information regarding the 2024-2025 Open/Switch Enrollment period. Please note attached is the tutorial you will find all the information needed for the 2024 Open/Switch Enrollment at the NMPSIA website: New Mexico Public Schools Insurance Authority (nmpsia.com) PLEASE NOTE: To Drop Pre-Tax Benefits: In the month of December, you will have the option to drop any of the pre-tax benefit plans e.g. medical, dental, and vision. It is only during the month of December that you will have this option. You will be enrolling on the NMPSIA website any, and all changes.
